WHAT IS IT?
Urban Expression is a weekly youth night for 12-18s with a focus on Urban Sport and Music. The sessions will include BMX, Skating, Graffiti Art and Music and much more. See below for a taste of the activities that will be run from week to week. Different sessions will be introduced so don’t expect it to always be the same – come down and see.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Different types of Urban music will be played all night and there will be a chance to play your own selection.
The National Cycling Centre arguably houses the best BMX Facility in the world and it’s open for all to use, whether just starting out or training for the Olympics. The middle part of the track will be open during the Urban Expression sessions to flow round, learn skills and enjoy the venue.
COMING UP: Nicola Anderson, the venues resident BMX Coach, will be heading up skill focussed sessions. Also assisting with coaching is Toby Werhun. Toby rides street and park to a high standard and will be helping out and offering advice. He may even showcase some of his skills as a street and park rider
Projekts skatepark will provide coaches to go through the basics of how to skateboard, or even offer advice on advanced skills. Drop in and try it out.
COMING UP: Andy Parle is an expert in graffiti artist. Taking it right from pen and paper to full scale murals, he has done them all and can pass on his knowledge and expertise.
