Scorpions is the National Cycling Centres resident MTB club.
The session is for those that are competent cyclists and that re looking to learn or progress their MTB skills. The session will cover all skills and techniques required to ride MTB, along with fun games and exercises that concentrate on the pure enjoyment of riding your bike and preparing for MTB racing.
The session will be based on our Philips Park Skills area but riders will also be taken out onto Clayton Vale Trails. The riders will go over various MTB techniques and then put this into practice, out on the trail.
The session is for riders aged 8+, but some younger riders may be accepted onto the session with coaches’ discretion.
Bikes and helmets are provided, but riders can also supply their own bike/helmet. Bikes must be in working order and the coach is not responsible for its maintenance.
Riders should wear appropriate riding kit, including gloves and a rain jacket. We advise that riders have a small backpack so that they can carry a drink and any additional clothing.

When you arrive for your session please report to The National Cycling Centre reception.
